Class Types
All Caragh's classes are designed to promote a feeling of calm while increasing strength and flexibility in the body, bringing an overall sense of balance. Drawing on over 25 years of yoga experience, Caragh teaches a class to meet your needs.

Hatha Flow
(75 mins, intermediate level)
This practice is for anyone with some yoga experience who enjoys a flowing style of yoga. We start with quiet centring, attuning to the breath, before beginning to move, stretch and strengthen in equal measure. We build towards a fluid vinyasa-style sequence of standing yoga postures and the peak of the practice. Then we wind down through quieter floor-based postures before lingering in a long savasana.
Suitable for:
Those with some yoga experience and minimal injuries.

Hatha Yoga
(60 mins, mixed abilities)
This practice is for those looking for a nice rounded yoga practice which includes movement, stretching, strengthening, breath awareness and guided relaxation.
Slightly less challenging than the 75 minute hatha flow class but nonetheless quite strong. It is suited to those with less experience or who want to take it a bit slower or are recovering from injury or illness. Modifications are offered for those who need it.
Suitable for:
Those with some yoga experience and who like a slower pace than Hatha Flow.

Beginners Yoga
(60 minutes)
This class is tailored to people with little or no yoga experience, those recovering from illness or injury and also those who might have lots of yoga experience but are now older (60s, 70s, 80s) and need their practice to change with them.
Each practice begins with centring and breath awareness. Then we stretching, strengthening and balance before finishing with a guided deep relaxation.
Suitable for:
Those aged 60+
Beginners
Those coming back after injury or illness.

Online Yoga
(40 minutes)
This class takes place live over Zoom with a recording sent out afterwards and available for 3 months.
It is a compact, yet comprehensive practice. 30 minutes of movement, 5-10 minutes of guided relaxation, it will ease tension, increase strength and flexibility and offer you a chance to relax and practice mindfulness.

Restorative Yoga
(75 mins, all levels)
Restorative Yoga is the use of props to support the body in positions of comfort and ease to facilitate health and relaxation. Designed to leave you deeply relaxed through passive stretching, stillness and quiet, these classes are suitable for everyone, no matter what your stage of life or circumstances.

Prenatal Yoga
(60 mins)
Caragh offers private prenatal yoga classes for those in their 2nd or 3rd trimester. These classes are tailored specifically to support you through pregnancy by incorporating safe strengthening and stretching, mindfulness, breathwork and deep relaxation.

Active Birth
Workshop
(2 hours)
Caragh offers private active birth workshops for couple approaching the birth of their baby. ​These workshops are designed to empower the mother and her partner to participate fully in the birth of their child and to bring their child into the world as easily and naturally as possible.
A perfect complement to prenatal yoga, you will learn how yoga positions, breathwork and mindfulness can help you to give birth as naturally and easily as possible.​ You will gain a better understanding of what to expect during labour and birth, the physiology of birth, how you can help yourself to cope, natural pain relief options and the important role your partner can play.

Yoga for Kids
(30-60 mins)
Caragh teaches yoga to kids in schools in the Dun Laoghaire area.

These classes are all about having fun while reaping the benefits of mindful movement and conscious breathing. We always do a little guided relaxation at the end. This is something unique to yoga. Learning to let go and to enjoy the feeling of being calm and relaxed is a skill for life. What better time to start?

In 2016, Caragh qualified as a Yoga for Kids teacher, through the Elbow Room teacher training. This training brought together her own yoga experience and her experience of teaching yoga to her own small children who were aged 2, 4 and 6 at the time.
