Friday Week 2 Rise and Shine Yoga

This sequence is a more restorative practice than the other Rise and Shine Yoga sequences. It works equally well as a morning practice for days when you want to go easy on yourself and for winding down in the evenings. See below for a short video showing clips from some Rise and Shine practices.
We begin with a beautiful shoulder-opening sequence. Then we move through variations of low lunge, based on the Hridaya Namaskar pattern, to create space in the front of the body. Next we come into Legs Up The Wall pose with options such as supporting the hips in a gentle backbend or moving into shoulderstand and plough.
Alternate nostril breathing leads us to a short guided relaxation in savasana. Music by Anne Malone.
