September 2025
Definitely feeling it - the shift in seasons, September settling in, life beginning to take on a new rhythm. The kids are back to school, the evenings are drawing in, and around here we are finding ourselves returning to routine. It's good. It's the perfect moment to re-establish habits that support us, strengthen us and bring us balance.
There’s a quote from Judith Hanson Lasater that has been echoing in my mind lately:
“Yoga is magic. It doesn’t work if you don’t do it.”
It’s simple but it hits home. We all know the benefits of yoga, meditation, restorative practices or even something as basic as drinking more water or getting to bed earlier. But knowing isn’t enough. The real magic happens when we actually do the thing—when we step onto the mat, even when resistance whispers that it’s easier to stay on the couch.
Consistency is what transforms yoga from something we “like” into something that truly sustains us. Coming to class regularly, week after week, creates a rhythm that carries us through the ups and downs of life. It’s in the repetition—the showing up, the rolling out of the mat, the breathing and moving again and again—that the practice works its quiet, powerful magic.
So, if you’ve been waiting for the right moment to return to your mat, this is it. September offers us a fresh start. Choose a class that fits your schedule—morning, evening, or online—and commit to it. Let it become part of your weekly routine, your anchor, your reminder that you’re choosing health, calm and strength for yourself.
Because yoga is magic. But it only works if we do it.
